Fiber optic transceivers are generally used in practical network environments where Ethernet cables cannot cover the area and fiber optics must be used to extend the transmission distance. They also play a significant role in connecting the last kilometer of fiber optic lines to metropolitan area networks and beyond. Fiber optic transceivers offer a cost-effective solution for users who need to upgrade their systems from copper to fiber but lack the funds, manpower, or time. To ensure full compatibility with network devices from other manufacturers, such as network cards, repeaters, hubs, and switches, fiber optic transceiver products must strictly comply with Ethernet standards such as 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, 100Base-FX, IEEE802.3, and IEEE802.3u. In addition, they should comply with FCC Part 15 for EMC (electromagnetic compatibility).
